Giving international wealth a stronger structure

Kenforth Life

Brief

Following the acquisition of Kenforth Life, our client approached Ashgrove to reposition the business and create a distinctive new brand identity.

Kenforth is a specialist international boutique life insurer based in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. It provides Private Placement Life Insurance and other specialist structures designed to help internationally mobile clients hold, nurture, grow and protect their wealth. Kenforth Life

Operating within a highly regulated and reputation-sensitive sector, the new identity needed to convey credibility, stability and substance. It had to give existing clients and professional advisers a reassuring sense of continuity, while presenting Kenforth as a serious and confident participant in the international wealth-management market.

The challenge was to balance these objectives without making the business appear overly corporate or institutional. Kenforth needed the quiet confidence of a Swiss private bank, but with enough warmth and individuality to distinguish it from the traditional visual language of international financial services.

Approach

We began by defining the qualities the Kenforth brand needed to communicate: strength, structure, discretion, intelligence and sustainable growth.

Rather than relying on conventional imagery associated with wealth, we explored patterns found in nature—where growth is rarely random and strength often comes from an underlying structure.

This led us to the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio: a mathematical principle seen in the branching of trees, the arrangement of leaves, the unfurling of a fern and the spiral of a Nautilus shell.

The Nautilus became the central inspiration for the Kenforth identity. Its precise, proportioned chambers provided a natural visual metaphor for the careful structuring and segmentation of Kenforth’s insurance policies. It also represented protection, continuity and measured growth—the foundations on which long-term wealth planning is built.

From this thinking, we developed a complete identity around the positioning:

Strength. Structure. Growth.

The visual language combines the Fibonacci-inspired marque with a restrained colour palette, considered typography and natural imagery. The overall effect is calm, sophisticated and quietly confident, allowing the brand to feel both established and contemporary.

We then translated the identity across the wider Kenforth experience, including:

  • Brand positioning and messaging
  • Logo and visual identity
  • Brand guidelines
  • Website design and development
  • Corporate and policy documentation
  • Marketing collateral
  • LinkedIn content and ongoing awareness campaigns
  • Educational articles and video content

The Kenforth website was developed as both a corporate platform and an educational resource. Its role is to explain a specialist and potentially complex proposition clearly, while reinforcing the personal, discreet and professional character of the business.

LinkedIn has become an important extension of this strategy. Rather than simply promoting products, the content addresses subjects relevant to professional advisers and internationally mobile clients—from asset protection and succession planning to regulatory considerations, investment flexibility and transparent fee structures.

Outcome

The rebrand has given Kenforth a more substantial, distinctive and unified presence in the international life-insurance market.

It provides the business with a credible platform from which to communicate with existing clients and adviser networks, while introducing Kenforth to new audiences across a number of international markets.

The website, LinkedIn activity and supporting content now work together as a sustained awareness programme—helping Kenforth explain its proposition, demonstrate its expertise and build recognition among professional intermediaries and prospective clients.

In a sector where discretion is important and commercial results cannot always be shared publicly, success is measured not simply in headline numbers, but in the quality of the brand platform created. Kenforth now has an identity with the confidence, consistency and substance to support its next stage of growth.
